Far from being the intellectual with a bun, bending under the weight of dusty volumes, Marion Gibert has kept her former lifestyle as a press attaché, the art of communicating a passion. In this case, it’s literature, but in the plural, as her favourites run the whole gamut: from English novels to the inheritors of the US counter-culture, little-known French authors to authors from northern Europe or southern India aux, from huge tomes to short stories, from major publishers to small publishing houses. In the kids’ area (a special mention here for the decorations), reading is nothing like a punishment. And because an intense intellectual life doesn’t stop you from having frivolous ideas, we also admire Marion for her fashion choices: a good book, of course, but she takes it out of a taupe Ceannis bag and turns the pages in Charlotte Sometime mittens. Better than styles of thought, this is style and thought.
